About
Aaron Wilson
Founder, DayTrellis
I struggled in high school, and I kept struggling for years even as I went on to earn a PhD. I always figured I just was not trying hard enough. What I was really doing, without knowing it, was building my own coping strategies, and because research is what I do, I built them around what the evidence actually showed. Nobody ever diagnosed me along the way.
In the fall of 2025 I finally got assessed and found out I have ADHD. It explained a lot. My psychiatrist suggested coaching alongside medication, but I had no idea where to start, so I turned the strategies I had spent years piecing together into something calm and honest that helps you put together a day that actually works. I made it for myself first. Once I saw how common ADHD is, and how much it shapes people’s lives, I wanted it to help others be the best they can be, not just me. I teach at a university, so being honest about the evidence is not a marketing line for me. It is a habit.
“I’ll always show the evidence, and I’ll never try to shame you into showing up.”
Not a clinician
I am not a doctor, therapist, or licensed health professional, and DayTrellis is wellness and education rather than medical care. Our job is to gather what the research says, cite it, and be honest about the evidence, so you can bring good questions to the professionals who treat you. How we do that is spelled out in our editorial policy.
